The definition of failure in Merriam-Webster's dictionary
Failure 1a: omission of occurrence or performance; specifically: a
failing to perform a duty or expected action.
b (1): a state of inability to perform a normal function.
(2): an abrupt cessation of normal functioning <a power
failure>
c: a fracturing or giving way under
stress <structural failure>
2a: lack of success 3a: a falling short
By definition failure is admitting defeat. Failure lacks and or is missing an element needed for overcoming stress. Failure, if accepted means you fall short from achieving success and strength during stress.
"My great concern is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content
with your failure."
~Abraham Lincoln
Reason 3. Failure does NOT define you. . . failure is like pain, it is temporary when you learn to do exactly what you must do to avoid continued failure and pain, it will not define you. This pleasure/pain principle holds true for example; Do you remember learning how to walk? Every failed attempt only ignited the desire to finally make walking possible; because you saw others walking and running with smiles on their faces we visually saw that . . . IT IS POSSIBLE.
Failure is but a simple stepping stone that leads you closer to solid ground if only we see that; failure is not final or fatal ever, but a temporary stumbling block towards success as long as we COMMIT to never giving up and never ever giving in.
Reason 2. Failure does NOT define you . . . because all the greats overcame some form of failure to reach greatness... Beethoven was a musician who lost his hearing. Yet, despite the inevitable frustration and considering himself a failed musician, it did NOT stop Beethoven from composing some of the most sublime pieces of music in the history of man. Donald Trump overcame Bankruptcy in the early 1990's to a mass richer fortunes again and regain credibility. Michael Jordan overcame the murder of his father and a failed baseball stint to seal being named the greatest of all time in NBA basketball history after winning 3 more championship titles for a total of 6 championship rings... Nelson Mandela overcame 27 years of imprisonment to work with apartheid rule to peacefully overcome racism and become the first elected non-white official leader of South Africa. This list is long and I can go on and on. .
If you believe you have failed . . you have. The Greats NEVER gave up on their passion or their conviction of there beliefs, the possiblities are endless when you believe failure is not an option.
"Fall down seven times, get up eight."
~ Japanese proverb
Reason 1. Failure does NOT define you . . . because your failures shape your character. Like a sword molded into a tool of war, first it must endure extreme heat to be molded into a sharp weapon that pierces and cuts. Without this extreme heat it would be but a piece of scrape metal with no purpose to serve.
Failure ignites and fuels your purpose, without it you are just a living breathing piece of scrape metal in a large pile with no purpose to serve.
Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor before devouring the final goal.
When our mind-set and psychology push through failed life attempts with ease, we know failure does not and will not ever define us. We are constant creators of our failures and our successes, what we admit and speak carries the greatest of weight within our inner voice so remember . . . never give up NO MATTER HOW BAD IT IS, all is just a matter of TIME as long as we stay commited. Our daily habits shape our daily successes and failures, everything starts from the inside out. THINGS CHANGE WHEN WE BELIEVE THEY CAN CHANGE, it is that simple.
Failure is what ignites your passion, which then molds your character that pierces & cuts through great odds and impossible conditions with ease.
Failure does not define you...failure is what molds you into your destiny.
"That which does not kill us makes us stronger."
~ F. Nietzsche
